Becky O’Neal

Landscape Designer / Horticulturist - Alexandria boneal@carbo-la.com

In 2005 Becky O’Neal joined CARBO as an artist and illustrator, and currently is a project manager and designer on residential and commercial commissions. Becky’s role as an Administrator and publicist brings professional support to our project management team and has increased the firm’s capacity for excellent customer service.  Becky has an extensive background in fine art, photography and landscape design.  Her completed works reflect her interest in nature, landscapes, and landscape objects indigenous to the southeast United States.  Her art and photography capture the serene simplicity and subtle beauty of regional landscapes juxtaposed against the agricultural landscapes of man.

Prior to joining CARBO, Becky gained an extensive experience with horticulture/ project management in design/build landscape construction.  Becky uses her organizational skills to maintain and update our product literature and design library.  She also prepares written reports, graphic information packages, marketing materials, and presentations.  Acting as Publicist for CARBO, she has coordinated numerous projects for award consideration, publication, and photo shoots with nationally recognized periodicals.  

Becky studied Fine Art and Design at Louisiana College and is an accomplished artist and designer.  Her works have been published extensively and shown in numerous galleries and private collections throughout the south.  One of her paintings was exhibited in the 2011 silent auction for The Cultural Landscape Foundation. She has designed and painted outdoor murals, wall art pieces, and furniture from recycled materials while contributing to detail designs for several of our projects. 

Becky coordinated the interior design effort and managed the courtyard and landscape construction for the 2006 Lake District Feature Home in Alexandria, LA.  She has overseen the construction of several residential projects, a school playground renovation, and in 2009 through 2010 was the project manager for the interior and exterior design and construction of Diamond B Corporate Offices.  Past and present professional memberships include: Resident artist of River Oaks Square Art Center of Alexandria, LA, a member of American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), Louisiana Chapter American Society of Landscape Architects (LCASLA)(served as Past At-Large Rep), U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), Louisiana Chapter U.S. Green Building Council, Garden Writers Association (GWA), Council of Landscape Architecture Registration Boards (CLARB), Louisiana Watercolor Society(LWS) and is a currently a licensed horticulturist in the State of Louisiana.
